Gildo Pallanca Pastor – Vice President
A “Serial Entrepreneur”, Gildo Pallanca Pastor embarked upon his career at the age of 19 by taking over the management of the construction of the Gildo Pastor Center (S.A.M. Pastor), a building composed of office and industrial premises totalling 90,000 m². Since 1986, in addition to his real-estate activities, he has diversified his investments by participating in the development of innovative companies.
Gildo Pallanca Pastor was born in Monaco on April 1st 1967. Of Monégasque nationality, he is a permanent resident of the Principality where he lives with his wife and two sons. After obtaining a Baccalauréat C (mathematics and physics), he pursued, at the same time as his professional activities (first enterprise at the age of 19), a university degree in law at the faculty of Aix Marseille, then Nice, as well as a university course in economics in Italy.
Damien, founder and CEO of the International Anti Poaching Foundation (IAPF), served as a Clearance Diver in the Royal Australian Navy before transferring to a Special Operations unit within the Australian Army. Following the completion of military service he was employed by a Private Military Organisation tasked with retraining the future police of Iraq. Damien eventually moved to the position of Project Manager, overseeing daily operations of the Iraq Special Police Training Academy in Baghdad. He returned home to Australia from Iraq in 2008 after three years service.
Arriving in Africa at the beginning of 2009, the intention was to apply his background skills to wildlife protection and conservation. After traveling the southern half of the continent he came to rest in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. It was in Zimbabwe that he received a first-hand look at the decimation poaching was having on the wildlife population. Incensed by the lack of resources made available to combat the problem he founded the ‘International Anti Poaching Foundation’ (IAPF), designed to counteract the bloodshed through assertive action and specialist training. He has since been working very closely with other conservation based organizations with similar objectives.
Born and raised in the Kwazulu‐Natal Midlands in South Africa, singer songwriter Jason Hartman’s love for music was evident from a very young age. It was 2009 Idols that truly put Jason on the map as one of South Africa’s finest acts. Aside from music, Jason’s passion is the environment, in particular gardening. He has always been at home in the tranquility of Mother Nature and leverages off his celebrity status to put across very authentic messages on sustainability and environmental awareness.
Jason heads up an NGO called The Men of Trees NGO (www.motto.org.za) and is driving several ‘green’ projects such as sustainable vegetable gardens in schools. Sustainability in the garden is very important to Jason and he proudly shows underprivileged people all over the country how to plant crops in tyres in order to feed their families.
